Dorchester is Dorset's county town and Thomas Hardy's Casterbridge. Next to it, Poundbury, the urban extension backed by the King, has added traditional-style new homes. Its rental market also includes period town houses, family estates and military lets around Bovington Camp and Wool, home of the Tank Museum and the Royal Armoured Corps.
Poundbury homes have distinctive finishes and features that need precise recording, and military families may move at short notice. A detailed, photographed inventory keeps every changeover fair.
The Dorchester territory covers Dorchester and nearby areas including Bovington Camp and Wool.
