Inventory Clerk Direct was founded by an active inventory clerk with first-hand experience of both sides of the industry. Understanding what landlords, agents, and clerks actually need shaped every decision in building this platform.

The Mission

To make it easier for landlords and letting agents to find a qualified, insured, independent inventory professional in their area — and to give those professionals a place to be found, regardless of which accreditation body or training provider they work with.

Every clerk on our platform is independently verified before their listing goes live. Every enquiry goes directly to the professional — no booking fees, no agencies, no markup.

Why Independent Matters

An independent inventory clerk works for themselves. They’re not part of a franchise, not employed by an agency, and not incentivised to cut corners. Their reputation is their business — which means every report they produce has to be accurate, thorough, and defensible.

Independent clerks are also more accountable. When something goes wrong, you’re speaking directly to the person who carried out the inspection — not a call centre, not a complaints team, not a manager three levels removed from the problem.

That independence matters. Especially when a deposit dispute lands at adjudication.
